UPDATE:
Hello and Welcome to my website. Thank you for joining me.
Where I've been & where I'm going:
Sunday, September 8, 2019
This year has already seen an end and now a new beginning. Bravo's passing was difficult (only dog lovers know how much they can mean to us), but I happened upon a poster that made me remember his life, not his death, and what he would let me know if he were here (Bravo is pictured above with me when he was a puppy).
The poster reads:
"A Dog's Last Will & Testament"
"Before humans die, they write their last will and testament, give their home and all they have to those they leave behind. If, with my paws, I could do the same, this is what I'd ask...
To a poor and lovely stray I'd give my happy home; my bowl and cozy bed, soft pillow and all my toys; the lap, which I loved so much; the hand that stroked my fur; and the sweet voice that spoke my name.
I'd will to the sad, scared shelter dog the place I had in my human's loving heart, of which there seemed no bounds.
So, when I die please do not say, 'I will never have a pet again, for the loss and pain is more than I can stand.'
Instead, go find an unloved dog, one whose life has held no joy or hope, and give my place to him.
This is the only thing I can give...
The love I left behind."
SO.....
While I'm not adopting a shelter dog, I am getting a new puppy in two weeks; not to replace Bravo, but to fill a place that I know he would want filled. Yes, you will probably see my picture with Finn (as in Huckleberry) on the author page of my new books.
Now to Where I will be:
Next Saturday, September 14, I will be at Robeson Community College in Lumberton, NC participating in Book 'Em NC. This event takes place from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Book 'Em NC is an annual book fair held at the college featuring authors from all over NC, as well as publishers. Admission is free, as is parking, and visitors will be able to sit in on various presentations throughout the day.
I will have a table there where all of my books will be available at reduced prices, and I will have a chance to talk with visitors about these books and the two new ones that will be out sometime next year.
You will have the opportunity to meet the authors and talk to them about their books, in addition to purchasing signed copies.
Book 'Em NC is free and open to the public and will be going on all day.
